George P. Bush is the eldest of three children of Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He’s also the nephew of President George W. Bush and the grandson of President George H.W. Bush. George P. Bush campaigned for his uncle during the 2000 presidential campaign and has worked to elect solid conservative Republicans across Texas.

Bush has an undergraduate degree from Rice University and he earned a law degree from the University of Texas in 2003. In 2004 he married a law school classmate, Amanda Williams. He practiced law in Dallas until 2005, then joined N3 Capital, a real estate investment company in Fort Worth, TX. N3 Capital has since moved its headquarters to Austin, TX and changed its name to Pennybacker Capital.

The Honorable George Antuna Jr.

George Antuna Jr. works in the financial services industry and was a candidate for the Texas House of Representatives. He also worked for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison as Regional Director for San Antonio, South Central Texas and El Paso. Prior public service included being Director of Protocol for then Texas Secretary of State, Henry Cuellar, and Policy Analyst of Workforce Development, Economic Development and International Relations for then Lt. Governor Rick Perry. He also serves on the boards of Texas Workforce Commission’s Workforce Solutions Alamo (former Alamo Workforce Board), and Guadalupe County Child Advocacy Center and is very involved with the Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD, and other political and charitable organizations within Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe Counties. Mr. Antuna was elected to the council of the City of Schertz in May, 2011.

Mr. Antuna was born just south of San Antonio in Karnes City, Texas. Mr. Antuna and his family moved to San Antonio’s south side where he graduated from South San Antonio High School in 1986. He attended San Antonio College from 1986 to 1988 then transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with his BBA in Marketing Management.

Mr. Antuna lives in Schertz with his wife and their 3 sons.

Juan Hernandez, Ph. D.

Juan Hernandez was born in the city of Fort Worth, Texas, of a Mexican father and a Texan mother. He completed his undergraduate studies at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and received his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees at Texas Christian University. Juan Hernandez has dedicated himself to the study of Mexico-U.S. relations for many years. He has been a professor at various universities, creating a Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies at the University of Texas, Dallas.

In 1996, Hernández invited Vicente Fox (then Governor of the Mexican State of Guanajuato) to speak at UT, Dallas and meet George W. Bush (then Governor of Texas) — a historical meeting that marked a new outlook in Mexico-U.S. relations. After beating the party that had ruled for over 71 years, President Fox hired Hernandez as the first US-born cabinet member, heading the President’s Office for Mexicans Abroad. Operating from Los Pinos (the Mexican White House), the Office had as its principal objective to serve and dignify the 24 million whom President Fox has called heroes — the countrymen who live in foreign lands.

Described as one of the most brilliant men in the world (Fortune 2001), named Humanitarian Man of 2001 by Latin Trade Magazine (2001), and classified as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the U.S. (Hispanic Business Magazine 2001), he is known for his passion for the defense of the rights of immigrants. He has been showcased on Nightline, the Peter Jennings show, and is a regular on Univisión , CNN and Fox News.

The Honorable Sonya Medina-Williams

Sonya Medina WilliamsThe Honorable Sonya E. Medina currently serves as Director of Community & External Affairs at Silver Eagle Distributors.

Prior to joining Silver Eagle Distributors, Medina served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Director of Projects for the First Lady. In addition, Medina oversaw First Lady Laura Bush’s projects and policy office, where she worked on a variety of issues regarding education, women and children’s health and global diplomacy.

From 2001 through the fall of 2006, Medina served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Director of Projects for the First Lady. Medina also served as a Presidential appointee on the Board of Trustees of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.

Recently, Medina was selected as one of the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Rising Stars. In addition, Medina has been honored as HISPANIC Magazine’s recipient of the 2005 Government Service Achievement Award. In March 2007, Medina was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to serve on the Commission for a College Ready Texas, an effort that provided leadership and guidance to improve college readiness programs by aligning high school curriculum with college standards.

Medina earned her Masters of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University and graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education. She is a native of San Antonio, Texas.

Mano DeAyalaE. Prior to joining Buck Keenan in 2010, Mano was a senior partner with Thompson & Knight LLP, where he served a variety of businesses and individuals for 16 years.  He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1992 and a bachelor of business degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1988.  In 2010, he was admitted to the Solicitor Rolls of England and Wales.  Since 2001, he has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, a ranking at the highest level of professional excellence by his peers.  He has been recognized Best Lawyers in Houston, H Texas Magazine; 2004; Texas Rising Stars (Business Litigation, Civil Litigation Defense, Real Estate) 2004-2006 and Texas Super Lawyer 2011.  He is a Fellow of the Houston and Texas Bar Foundations and is a frequent author and speaker on a variety of legal topics.

The Honorable Rolando Pablos

In September of 2011, Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed Rolando Pablos to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). The PUCT regulates the state’s electric and telecommunication utilities and has primary jurisdiction over activities conducted by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).

Prior to his appointment to the PUCT, Mr. Pablos was senior advisor to the global law firm of SNR Denton, where he provided public policy and strategic business advisory services to domestic and international clients.

Early in his career, Mr. Pablos served as general counsel to Francois-Charles Oberthur, a multinational firm specializing in high-security printing. As chief legal officer, Mr. Pablos administered the legal, legislative and regulatory affairs for Oberthur’s U.S. and Latin American operations.

Mr. Pablos has extensive practical experience in economic development and trade promotion. His bicultural and bilingual background has enabled him to work extensively in U.S. and foreign business environments.

In 2009, the ambassador of Spain to the U.S., the Honorable Jorge Dezcallar de Mazarredo, appointed Mr. Pablos honorary consul to Spain. As honorary consul, Mr. Pablos plays a key role in facilitating two-way trade and investment opportunities between Spain and the U.S. His main emphasis is in ensuring the formation and development of business and diplomatic relationships between the two countries.

Mr. Pablos’ substantial public service has afforded him the opportunity to serve in various roles ranging from serving as chairman of the Texas Racing Commission; chairman of The Free Trade Alliance and chairman of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Pablos sits on various boards, including the Bank of San Antonio; the Associated Republicans of Texas and the Hispanic Republicans of Texas.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, Mr. Pablos earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Hospitality Management degree from the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management. Mr. Pablos earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Mr. Pablos and his wife, Dr. Laura San Martin, have four children – Cristina Elizabeth, David Alan, Mia Noelle and Andrea Nicole.

Lionel Sosa

Sosa is the founder of Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar & Associates, now Bromley Communications, the largest Hispanic advertising agency in the U.S. He is an acknowledged expert in Hispanic consumer and voter behavior.

Sosa has served as Hispanic media advisor in seven Republican presidential races beginning with Ronald Reagan in ’80 and ‘84, George H. W. Bush in ’88 a and ‘92, George W. Bush on 2000 and 2004 and John McCain in ‘08. In the spring of 2001, he was a Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University. In the corporate sector, Sosa’s ad agency nationally represented Coca-Cola, Anheuser- Busch, Burger King, American Airlines, Procter and Gamble, Sprint, Western Union, U.S. Army, among others.

Lionel was named “One of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America” by Time Magazine in 2005 and is a member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame. He is the author of Think and Grow Rich, a Latino Choice, published in 2006 by Random House, and The Americano Dream: How Latinos Can Achieve Success in Business and in Life, published in 1998 by Dutton. He co-authored El Vaquero Real-The Original American Cowboy, published by Bright Sky Press in 2008.

Sosa serves on the Board of Directors of QuePasa.com, the largest bilingual online community in the country, as well as SiTV, the leading 24/7 cable television channel in English targeted to Latinos Lionel has served on the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System, the Board of Trustees for the University of the Incarnate Word, the Boards of Sesame Workshop, creators of Sesame Street, ACT (American College Testing) and PBS, the Public Broadcasting System. He chaired both the United Way of San Antonio and the San Antonio Symphony.

The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio awarded an honorary PhD in Humanities to Sosa in 1995.
