AUSTIN, Texas – Today, the Hispanic Republicans of Texas PAC announced Cassy Garcia will serve as the new HRT President. The decision was made at a special meeting where members voted unanimously to elect the former Congressional Candidate.
“Cassy Garcia has been a strong voice for the conservative Hispanic community in Texas for over 17 years,” said Chairman George Antuna. “Her experience in grassroots engagement along with her dedication to Texas will help HRT as we continue to recruit and support Hispanics running for public office.”
"I am thrilled and humbled to lead as President of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a group that has been at the forefront of the fight for the Hispanic community,” said Garcia. “It's time for us to wake up and realize what the liberal Democrat Party has done to damage our families and communities.”
Trey Newton, HRT-PAC Treasurer added, “HRT has worked for over a decade, building a farm team of Hispanic Republicans to run for office from the School Board to the State House. Cassy’s leadership and experience will be invaluable to HRT’s mission, ensuring success in the 2024 elections. “
Cassy Garcia has over 17 years of experience in grassroots outreach, and policy advocacy at the local, state and federal levels. She has served previously as Commissioner for the White House Hispanic Prosperity initiative, Deputy State Director for Senator Ted Cruz, and has also served as an Agriculture Liaison for the Texas Commissioner of Agriculture. In 2022, she received the Republican nomination for Texas’s 28th Congressional district.
“As Hispanics, we must take a stand and join the Republican Party that is fighting for our values and our future, “continued Garcia. “HRT has been leading the charge in this fight. Together, we will make a difference, and our voices will be heard!”
